Water is life—but in many parts of Somalia, it can also be a threat.
Every day, families face illness and hardship due to unsafe drinking water and poor sanitation. In these vulnerable communities, preventable waterborne diseases continue to spread, putting lives—especially those of children—at risk.
At HEAL Organization, we’re turning the tide. Through clean water projects and community-led sanitation initiatives, we’re creating real, lasting change.

💧 Building Clean Water Access That Lasts
Our approach goes beyond short-term fixes. We install deep boreholes, construct rainwater harvesting systems, and build resilient water infrastructure in rural and underserved areas.
One of our proudest achievements is the Dermoley Water Facility—a project that now delivers clean water to hundreds of families every day. This isn’t charity; it’s empowerment through access.
🌿 Hygiene Education and Disease Prevention
Clean water is only part of the solution. We also lead hygiene education campaigns to teach families how to prevent the spread of disease, safely store water, and maintain clean living environments.
From handwashing stations to community clean-up drives, our environmental health programs promote dignity, health, and resilience.
🤝 Sustainability Through Local Ownership
We believe in community ownership. That’s why we train local leaders to manage water systems and spread awareness—ensuring our projects remain sustainable long after we’ve left.
